Description
Here's a throwback to my childhood. I learned to make string art when I was in 7th grade, and I loved doing it. I probably have a box somewhere full of pieces that I did, with nails on wood, none extraordinarily good, but all made with love and wonder at how a series of straight lines can become a curved line.
This is an updated version -- tiny, on cardstock instead of wood, with brads substituting for the nails, and with a bit of gold thread (which I hadn't heard of back in the 70s) to jazz it up a bit.
I'm calling it mixed media because it doesn't seem to fit any of the other categories of artwork listed here. Also I digitally enhanced it slightly -- my original brads were brown, but I made them red to fit the RED challenge.

This nice and very creative, and the only other one on FAA I've seen, other than the one I posted on my profile recently of the state of Kentucky...which I only photographed and did not make. I suppose they could also be made on cardboard, Styrofoam and bulletin boards.

I never did string art but it looks like fun. Very creative and a very cool piece, Lori.
