Description
Last fall I started working on an art piece that was supposed to be just something about the pandemic, headlines relating to the pandemic... I didn't have a really clear picture of where I was going with it. I guess you could say it took on a life of its own, and in 2020 what else would you expect? LOL It's made of reclaimed wood, painted painter's tape, and Styrofoam heads, with a title from a Broadway musical, and a statement of my faith across the top.
Specifically how this is made: Acrylic pours over Styrofoam heads; painters tape painted with acrylic paint, cut into strips, and used to make designs on the heads (including the mask on the first head), and woven to make the backdrop and base; and text printed out on my computer and cut by hand into the shapes of the letters for my title and statement of faith. So it's a combination of acrylic pour, weaving, and collage.

Hi Lori, maybe do a collage - one with all straight on at a lower height than this and then others of the smaller pieces - against black background may also pull it out more.
