Description
A dog curiously sniffs at the pile of flowers placed between her paws. She decides the light-colored alstroemeria are acceptable, but objects to the roses. The sunflowers? Undecided. They can stay for now.
Emma has modeled for me many times over the years that she has lived with us, requiring only room, board, and regular pet-pets as payment. She has reluctantly conceded that, at 70 pounds, she really isn't a lap dog, but I think given half a chance, she would reclaim that title. My husband built her some steps so she can get up onto her favorite perch, our picnic table, a little more easily -- at 13 she's not as spry as she used to be, but that's still the best place to rule her queendom from.

So sweet! Reminds me of my dog I had; she would walk around to all my container pots and smell the flowers!

Awww, she's stopping to smell the roses ... or as she prefers, the alstroemeria. Smart dog and she's a cutie.
