Description
Someone left a window open at the flower factory and all the petals are escaping before they can be made into flowers! (Wait, that's not how it works? Oh...)
This was such a fun picture to make, from the original photograph, made by setting a white photo mat on a white poster board and covering it with flower petals, to realizing that it looked like an explosion, to working on it in the computer to send the petals flying into the air. It took a long time to get it just right, but I'm immensely pleased with how it came out.
Plants included in this design include cedar leaves, rose leaves, rose petals, sunflower petals, dianthus petals, alstroemeria petals, and ... I need to go ask the florist at Wegmans what that flower is going up from the top on the left, above the sunflower. It might be charmelia, but I'm not sure. And I think there are others in there that I haven't identified -- I'll have to see if that florist has time to sit with me and figure it out. Because of course he has nothing else to do. NOT! Busy guy! But very kind!
